Talk about a moving act of kindness you experienced or witnessed.

Harder, better, faster, stronger. He had to keep moving harder, better, faster and stronger. The extra push went into the spin, the lift was smoother, the steps were quicker, the dancing was stronger.

To my surprise one hundred storeys high
People getting loose y'all
Getting down on the roof
Folks are screaming out of control
It was so entertaining
When the boogie started to explode
I heard somebody say

Her partner never got sick. In all the time they had danced together, he had never missed one practice due to ill health. But she could see it in his eyes now, see the way he had to keep refocussing, making up the things his body was lacking. Even as he lifted her up into her air above his head, his grip was a little tighter than it should have been because he was sick, and he had to try harder just to keep up. Normally, his dancing was with every ounce of effort, and done as if it was effortless to him.

Come on, come on, he could do it. A trickle of sweat dripped down Ecklie’s forehead as he lifted the woman and moved her light body around his waist. He had to keep a tight, firm grip on her hand as he spun her out under his arm. She saw the concentration and smiled reassuringly, and he just frowned. They danced on an empty stage, an old, empty, wooden stage. They had to practice, it had to be perfect. He couldn’t afford to lose a chance at practice over a measly heightened temperature. He couldn’t, he couldn’t, he just couldn’t. No, no, no, no. No, no, no, no. He couldn’t lose.

Satisfaction came in a chain reaction
(Burnin)
I couldn't get enough
So I had to self-destruct
The heat was on, rising to the top
Everybody is going strong
And that is when my spark got hot
I heard somebody say

She watched with growing concern as his singlet became gradually drenched with sweat. He still smelt nice, he always smelt nice, but she worried. The man was stubborn, young, and stubborn, cruel, and, sometimes too independent for his own good. At least, that’s what she though, because she knew he considered himself to be doing a good job at managing everything. He was strong, somewhat stubborn, definitely independent, but strong all the same. Then it was her turn, and she spun him out under her arm.

He knew he was going to slip before it happened, but that did not lessen the surprise caused as his feet became jumbled and slipped out from under him, and his body met the hard wooden floor with a harsh thump.

Up above my head
I hear music in the air
That makes me know
There's a party somewhere

“Oh Conrad.” she said, falling down onto her knees beside him as he panted, red faced on the floor, dark coloured hair clinging to his forehead. He tried to sit up, and fell back onto the floor, closing his eyes with a sigh. The woman flinched as she felt the man’s forehead and against his protests she let him get dressed and then bundled him into her car.

Satisfaction came in a chain reaction
I couldn't get enough
So I had to self-destruct
The heat was on, rising to the top
Everybody is going strong
And that is when my spark got hot

One trip to the after hours clinic later, he had some medicine for the cold, and a clean bill of health otherwise.

They preformed the dance a week later, and then, he never danced with her again.
